Painting the town red

We went up to visit our aunt Peggy for Sunday dinner. We were admiring her newly painted hallway. As she is 84 years old, we were a little concerned about who actually painted it as she is the type of woman who would go about doing it herself, step ladder or no step ladder. We were relieved to hear that it was her neighbour who did it.

Then Peggy sheepishly admitted
"He asked me what type of paint I wanted?"
She replied
"Oh will you get that DUREX paint, it's the best."
When he had picked himself off the floor he replied
"Ah I don't think they stock that in Woodies!"

Walk (or cycle) the Line

This morning I decided to give The Old Rail Trail a go. It's a cycle path running along the disused railway line from Mullingar to Athlone.
Now don't get too impressed. I went from Mullingar to Moate. Athlone is my ultimate goal!
It is a fabulous ride.
Oops that came out wrong.
There is no traffic to compete with and there are NO HILLS!!! Happy Days.
And I will reach Athlone, eventually!
